Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar

Habyt has already released a brand-new accomodation area at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the flagship space for the operator’s Habyt Flex design, that offers a strategic broadening of the firm’s product offerings beyond extensive co-living.

The adaptable space lies inside a maintained 1920s colonial building. The three-storey structure, created by the architectural business Swan & Maclaren, was among the earliest modernist structures in Singapore. It was developed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.

The site was awarded to Bethesda Medical, that submitted a monthly rental quote of $103,000, the third-highest quote cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).

A public tender to lease the real estate, now managed by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the top quality of the proposed concept, and SLA encouraged bidders to consider inspired lifestyle ideas.

Kada at Maxwell will likely use a series of openings, involving en suite studios and 2- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully set up kitchen space. Visitors can book spaces on a nightly or every week basis, with a 12-month selection also available.

Wong states Habyt Kada at Maxwell represents the company’s promise to redefining flexible living in Singapore and marks its change towards the upcoming step of evolution for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room rates at Kada at Maxwell is going to start at $180 per day.

“By blending modern comforts with the timeless appeal of a heritage building, we’re offering guests an unique lifestyle journey that exceeds standard holiday accommodation,” adds Wong.

Residents of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy infinite and complimentary access to the property’s health and wellness amenities, including the performance health club, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot baths.

SLA pointed out Bethesda’s strong concentrate on area structure and connecting people with businesses as what gave its approach the winning edge. The first level is going to feature 10 F&B offerings, while the 2nd floor will certainly house a gym by Limitless, a wellness center in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working area. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell is on the third floor.

In August, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong indicated that the company was looking to add even more short living alternatives to its local lineup. The first real estates within the Habyt Flex concept are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both started in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen House by Habyt.
